Abstract.
The author offers the new approach to the principles of the categorization of aspect and tense in the Buryat language and presents nine aspect-tense forms the basis of which are the three main tense groups: simple tense, continuous tense and perfect tense. Each of the simple, continuous and perfect tenses is divided into present, future and past. These nine aspect-tense forms may be both synthetic and analytic.
