Abstract. The author presents one of the possible variants of the scientific commentary of the notion language in lecture course Russian Language and Speech Culture for the students of non-philological specialities and offers the concrete method of presenting scientific information about immanent features of natural language in necessary volume and the form accessible for non-philologists.
