CHRONOTOPE FEATURES IN DANIEL DEFOE’S NOVEL “ROBINSON CRUSOE”

Abstract.
The author considers the most famous Daniel Defoe’s novel “Robinson Crusoe”, states the spatial-temporal characteristics of this work as the main subject of the analysis, shows that this approach allows highlighting those artistic aspects of the text, which, in her opinion, are understudied, and reveals the features of chronotope that allow coming to the conclusion about the English novel attainment of a new level of artistic paradigm related to the change of a writer’s functions.
