TATAR PERIODICALS: GENESIS AND ITS PRECONDITIONS

Abstract. The author describes the history of the Tatar periodicals origin. Till the beginning of the XX th century such phenomenon as a Tatar newspaper in the Tatar literary language was absent. Everything changed after the revolution of 1905-1907. Due to the social-political changes, which reflected in peoples’ consciousness within Russia, numerous bodies of national periodicals appeared. However, enormous work was performed in order to achieve the right to publish a newspaper in the Tatar language.
