Abstract.
The author considers such key motive of P. P. Ershov’s lyrics as grain germination, establishes the connection of this motive with the image of heart, the motives of flowering and singing a song, which together characterize the subject of poetic creativity, tells that the analyzed motive is present not only in Ershov’s poetic texts, but also in the aesthetic works and letters of the Siberian author that indicates its significance to the poet, and mentions that grain germination motive may have Christian subject matter in Ershov’s works and be associated with the New Testament parable about the sower.
