Abstract.
The author presents the results of literary analysis of the poem by I. A. Kuratov “Тима, дерт нин, пöрысь” (“Tima is certainly old”), pays special attention to the analysis of hero’s image, whose behaviour is determined by the archaic meaning of laughter and profanity, their resurrection and regenerating force, and concludes that the principle of polyphony used by Komi poet inside the main monologue of the speech subject is the means of the representation of central character and his status in village group.
