Abstract.
The author covers the question of the specificity of author’s principle expression in the lyrics by Evgenii Evtushenko, reveals the features of poetic talent, the diversity of genre and thematic plan through the combination of social-historical and lyrical-philosophical principles, considers the categories of time, destiny, truth, art as fundamental support for poet’s civic position, as well as the combination of modern youth’s romantic mindset and serious reflection on the meaning of life for the description of postwar generation portrait and address to the problems of modernity, drawing on the traditions of classical poetry.
