Abstract.
The author considers the history of the formation of engineering psychology terminology - the scientific discipline that studies the objective laws of processes of information interaction between the man and technology in order to use them in the practice of design, creation and operation of systems “man-machine-environment”, identifies three periods of the development of terminology under study, and presents the examples of terms that correspond to the identified periods.
