ANTITHESIS AS MEANS OF ACTUALIZATION OF CONCEPT “LOVE” IN R. BURNS’S CREATIVE WORKS

Abstract. The author describes antithesis as means of language realization of the concept “love” by the material of the most famous poems of Robert Burns, suggests the interpretation of the most important fragments of these works, retaining the figurative and value components of this concept, and in the process of reviewing the examples distinguishes and mentions the specificity of structure and functioning of one or another type of antithesis used in the poems of R. Burns.
