Abstract.
The author presents the analysis of language dynamics caused by the expansion of computer engineering and communication technologies, analyzes the metaphorical understanding of computer engineering, reveals the anthropocentricity of understanding computer, gives the characteristics of metaphors, which are the basis for the conceptualization of social phenomena and processes in the light of the virtual world, and by the material of the Russian and English languages reveals the common tendencies in language development in the modern world.
