ON TECHNOLOGY OF FAIRY-TALES TRANSLATION (BY THE EXAMPLE OF W. HAUFF’S FAIRY-TALES TRANSLATION)

Abstract. The author considers the basic methods and techniques of fairy-tales translation (by the example of W. Hauff’s fairy-tales translation), and tells that the dominant feature of fairy tales is an expressive one, and usual substitutions and stylistic transformations contribute to the achievement of communicative-functional equivalence (adequacy) of translation, preserving the stylistic tonality of texts in original language and target language.
