Abstract.
The author presents the cognitive analysis of phraseological units-representants in conceptual sphere “Man” in the Russian dialects of Pechora lower reaches with the auxiliary object of metaphorization “outward things”, studies the interaction between metaphorization and idiomatization processes, creates the phraseological units classification by the type of auxiliary object, and considers the category of estimation, which allows revealing the national features of linguistic division of the world, the features of linguistic thinking functioning in creating each individual phraseological unit, and the features of Pechora population’s figurative picture of the world.
