Abstract.
The article considers the thematic specificity of the leading French print mass media, revealed by the analysis of publications in the key areas of state policy of France in the sphere of language. The author pays special attention to the key questions of language policy that are represented in the discourse of mass media: the modern state of the French language, measures of its distinctive character preservation, the ways of language enriching and renovating, the language policy in relation to immigrants
