SPECIFICITY OF ABSURDIST PICTURE OF THE WORLDIN IN AMERICAN POETRY OF POSTMODERNISM

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the definition of the notion “absurdist picture of the world”, to the identification and interpretation of its components in linguo-cognitive dimension by the material of the American poetry of postmodernism. The topicality of the research is explained by modern linguo-poetic studios general direction towards the study of literary text semantics from the perspective of the mental processes through the involvement and adaptation of the methodological apparatus of other sciences for the explanation of the link between language and thought. The author pays special attention to identifying the signs of absurdist picture of the world.
