INTERTEXTUAL CONCEPT “BORIS AND GLEB” IN NOVEL “MARK OF THE BEAST” BY O. N. ERMAKOV: CONCEPTUAL AND FIGURATIVE COMPONENTS

Abstract. The article studies the conceptual and figurative components of the intertextual concept “Boris and Gleb” in the novel “Mark of the Beast” by O. N. Ermakov. Intertext acts as the sense-formative zone of concept modeling, which actualizes religious-mythological and literary parallels. The conceptual component includes a number of definitional characteristics and is represented by the literary motives of intercession and rebellion, and the figurative component is structured by metaphorical descriptions that nominate new literary meanings.
