SPEECH ACT OF INSULT AS COMMUNICATIVE TURN OF INVECTIVE STRATEGY IN FRENCH DISCOURSE

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of invective strategy in the French discourse, namely the analysis of semantic and pragmatic features of the speech act of insult. In addition to the characteristics of this speech act and the separation of its features the author concludes that insult is most often a hybrid speech act, combining two or more speaker’s intentions. The examples of literature illustrate the implementation of communicative turns of insult in pragmalinguistics.
