Abstract.
The article considers the peculiarities of the word syllabic structure in three genetically, areally and typologically different languages. The word functional-semantic characteristic is taken into account. The importance of the operating grammatical tendency – synthesism/analytism – in words classes differentiation is substantiated. The significance of sound form connection type with meaning as the factor specifying the language typological determinant – the correlation of lexical and grammatical – is emphasized.
