Abstract.
The article considers the pragmatic aspect of neologisms functioning as external semantic reframes in the modern English-speaking youth press. The author reveals the content of the term “external semantic reframe”, and identifies the ways of forming this type of neologisms and communication strategies and tactics used by the authors of youth publications to achieve communicative goals.
