Abstract.
The article undertakes the attempt to consider the psychological portrait of the little-known Kazan poet of the ХХ
th century Leonid Ivanovich Topchii by analyzing the functional-specific features of antithesis. An important feature of modern literary situation is the address to the creative work of his countrymen. The researchers of Tatarstan reveal the names of Stakheev, Kamenev, Nevostruev, D'yachenko and others; Arzamas society researchers – Maria Zhukova; and Orel society researchers study not only “their” eternal Leskov, Turgenev, Bunin, Andreev, but Iosif Kalinnikov.
