Abstract.
The problem of authorial figurativeness preservation while fiction text translating is considered in the article. Different ways of metaphors translation are covered in this connection, namely: full translation, substitutions at the level of lexical, morphological and syntactical execution, addition/omission of lexical units executing an image. The authors analyze the semantic structure and the ways of metaphors translation in works of fiction.
