LINGUOCULTUROLOGICAL STUDY OF RUSSIAN PROVEBS IN THE GENDER ASPECT

Abstract.
The article presents the results of linguoculturological study of the gender-relevant proverbs and sayings of the Russian language. The authors revealed the formal characteristics of proverbs, described their structure, identified the high-frequency and mid-frequency gender components, investigated the largest topical groupings of significant lexemes forming the corpus of Russian proverbs with gender semantics. The special attention is paid to modelling the semantics of proverbs. The distinguished models make it possible to explicate the cognitive and linguoculturological message included in proverbs.
