GAME PRINCIPLE IN THE CHILDREN’S POETRY BY K. I. CHUKOVSKY

Abstract. The article deals with the realization of the subject of game in the creative work by K. I. Chukovsky whose works remain the classics of the children’s literature. The paper investigates the influence of folkloric traditions on the wonder tales by K. I. Chukovsky and the originality of these pieces of literature. The author identifies the addressing of Chukovsky’s works up to now in-demand in various age groups of readers. The researcher investigates the multifunctionality of the creative activity of the writer whose works perform esthetic, educational and cognitive functions.
