HEADLINES OF STAVROPOL NEWSPAPERS: USING LEXICAL STYLISTIC MEANS

Abstract.
Linguistic worldview determines the specifics of social consciousness of the concrete period of sociocultural development. In this regard a newspaper text as a special type of narrative statement is most sensitive to all the changes taking place in the social consciousness. Over the past few years a newspaper headline of Stavropol periodicals has undergone changes in the semantic and stylistic aspects. Hereby, the analysis of a narrative statement in a newspaper headline identifies the changes in the linguistic picture of the society of Stavropol region, and this fact determines the urgency of the article.
