“NATIVE” AND “ALIEN” IN THE ETHNOGRAPHICAL PROSE BY K. D. NOSILOV

Abstract.
The paper is devoted to investigating the ethnographical prose by K. D. Nosilov who contributed greatly to the formation of an image of the Extreme North of the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century. Nosilov’s creative work for the first time is investigated from the viewpoint of “native” and “alien”. The special attention is paid to the original presentation of a literary material: Nosilov plays the role of a mediator between the aboriginal people - “the aliens” and the residents of the central Russia - “the natives”. Such an approach is a quite unique phenomenon in the literature.
