Abstract.
The article analyzes the papers of the scientists-psychologists and teachers devoted to the investigation and development of children’s oral skills in the process of schooling which serve as a theoretical foundation for the methodology for developing the students’ oral skills; the author examines the basic trends of the investigation and development of children’s oral skills; the researcher identifies certain unresolved questions of the methodology for developing the students’ oral skills requiring psychological and pedagogical foundation.
