Abstract.
The article considers the role of the training course “Foreign Language” in the process of highly qualified technical specialists training for the national staff of the People’s Republic of China. The article reveals and substantiates the need to move from the traditional grammar-translation methods of teaching foreign languages to the communicative methods, based on the communicative-oriented and professionally-directed nature of teaching foreign languages.
