PHRASEOLOGICAL VERBALIZATION OF THE CONCEPT GLASS IN ENGLISH LINGUOCULTURE (BY THE MATERIAL OF PHRASEOLOGICAL AND PAROEMIOLOGICAL UNITS)

Abstract. The article analyzes culturally valuable characteristics of the English concept GLASS by the material of phraseological units. Addressing this phenomenon is justified by the topicality of class hierarchy for the British society. The author describes the noematic characteristics of the vocabulary of paroemiological representation of the concept; such description enables to investigate the meanings which are difficult to analyze in the terms of features-semes and to exemplify the specifics of value orientations of a linguocultural community.
