ROLE OF PRESUPPOSITION UNDER VERBAL EVALUATION OF VERBAL BEHAVIOUR IN A DIALOGUE

Abstract.
The article examines the problems of interpreting the meaning of presupposition in a dialogue and its nature as a zone of intersection of communicants’ cognitive spaces actualizing in the process of communication. The author emphasizes the important role of presupposition in predicting the development of communicative situation in a dialogue. The researcher argues for the necessity to consider the interference of cognitions of the speaker and recipient while evaluating verbal behaviour.
