Abstract.
The article is devoted to the image of a hero in the Even folklore. The author aims to reveal the specifics of the Even epos, to specify the model of personage’s behaviour, to contribute to the studies on the one aspect of heroic epos associated with the system of personages which is important for getting an idea about ancient ideology, peculiarities of everyday life, esthetic and ethic views of the ancestors of the modern Evens. The article is written on the basis of the previously published text in the collection “Epos of the Okhotsk Evens”.
