ARTISTIC INNOVATIONS IN RAYMOND QUENEAU’S WORKS AS MANIFESTATION OF ABSURDIST AESTHETICS

Abstract.
This paper is devoted to the study of R. Queneau’s artistic innovations. An attempt to consider the works of the French writer from the perspective of the manifestation of absurdist aesthetics in them is made. It is noted that the main feature of Queneau’s creativity is the ability to combine incongruous things. The analysis of the non-standard phenomena of the language in the texts of the French author’s works is conducted. In particular, their complete coincidence with the linguistic phenomena, which may be defined as linguistic absurdity, is proved.
