SPECIFICS OF TEXT NOMINATION OF PERSON: NARRATOR’S USE OF DENOMINATION, GIVEN BY CHARACTER (BY THE MATERIAL OF A. P. CHEKHOV’S TEXTS)

Abstract.
The article considers the problem of choosing the means of the character re-nomination in the text. Basing on the analysis of examples from the stories of A. P. Chekhov and taking into account the studies of re-nomination, the functions of a special type of character’s re-nomination in the text are determined - the duplication by a narrator of a nomination used in the character’s speech. The author concludes that the use of this category indicates a divergence of views of the narrator and the denoting character concerning the object of denomination.
