MONO-CONSONANT NATURE OF ROOT IN RUTUL VERB

Abstract. The present article is devoted to studying the features of the verb in the Rutul language relating to the Lezgian subgroup of the Nakh-Dagestani languages of North Caucasus. Particular attention is paid to the methods for determining the root of the verb and to the research of mono-consonant nature of a root in the Rutul verb. The verb in the Ibero-Caucasian languages, which include the Rutul one, is the center of the whole language system, where such important grammatical categories of language intersect as an aspect, tense, class, mood, causative, etc.
