Abstract.
The article examines the issue of the formation among students of non-language specialties of foreign-language communicative competency in the process of teaching oral translation to them. The simultaneity of oral speech perception and the translation production has a peculiarity of the oral consecutive translation from one language into another and substantiates the necessity of acquiring professional-oriented communicative competencies.
