THE SEMANTIC PECULIARITIES OF THE VERB MAKE IN THE CAUSATIVE CONSTRUCTION WITH THE MEANING “TO FORCE SOMEONE TO DO SOMETHING” AND THE RESOURCES OF THEIR TRANSFER TO THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the semantic potential of verb “make” in the causative construction with the meaning “to force someone to do something”. The dominant parameters in the formation of the categorical paradigm of the verb are the taxonomic category and type of causation. The identification of taxonomic categories in active and passive voices allows revealing the important semantic oppositions. The choice of transfer resources of semantic peculiarities of the verb “make” to the Russian language varies depending on the taxonomic category.
