MODERN YAKUT COMEDY: IRONIC MODUS

Abstract.
The article examines genre peculiarities of ironic comedy of the Yakut dramatist and script writer Semen Ermolaev Сиэн Өкөр (“Freedom to Luis Corvalán!”) in which the peculiarities of poetics and esthetics of the “new drama” are clearly represented. The analysis identified the dominating features of ironic comedy: irony as a form of comical determining the originality of author’s attitude which manifests itself in the composition, in the peculiarities of interpreting comical conflict and characters, in the prosodic and verbal organization of a play.
