THE SEMANTIC COLLOCABILITY OF THE WORDS “PARENTS”, “FATHER”, “MOTHER” ON INTERNET FORUMS ON FAMILY PROBLEMS

Abstract.
In the article by the material of the sample from the English-speaking forums on family problems the author considers the collocability of the lexemes “parents”, “father”, “mother” used in the function of subject with a specific type of predicate and identifies the typical semantic features of lexical content of predicate. The correlation between positive and negative connotation in the words combining with lexemes “parents”, “father”, “mother” within the framework of predicate or its expansion is analyzed.
