THE DYNAMICS OF A. C. SWINBURNE’S INDIVIDUAL STYLE: THE USE OF TROPES IN THE TEXT

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of the dynamic peculiarities of the individual style of Algernon Charles Swinburne. The index of metaphorization of categorematic parts of speech and the overall index of the use of tropes in the works are used as the development markers of the idiostyle. On the basis of the data obtained during the analysis the author identifies the trend towards the consistent growth of the use of tropes in the texts as a whole and each of the categorematic parts of speech in particular and explicates the stably existing opposition “statics - dynamics” in the verbalization of the elements of the metaphor model.
