FIGURATIVE AND EXPRESSIVE MEANS IN THE ENGLISH AUTHOR’S TALE AS A TRANSLATION PROBLEM

Abstract. The article aims to analyze translation techniques and transformations used in the process of translation of an animalistic tale. The differences and similarities of the original and translated texts are characterized by the necessity to transfer and preserve the elements of culture and national peculiarities of a tale being translated, and this is a translation problem. The special attention is paid to the analysis of a tale from the viewpoint of vocabulary and stylistics and to the comparative analysis of an original text and several variants of translation.
