Abstract.
The article is devoted to the research of the new types of meanings by the material of human’s names according to the nationality. The author describes the different types of meanings of this lexical-semantic group: lexicographical, psycholinguistic and contextual meanings of the words. The new meanings of the studied lexical units that are not fixed by the Explanatory Dictionaries of the Russian language but presented in the linguistic consciousness of the native speakers are revealed. The prospects of using the psycholinguistic experiments to specify the meanings of the word, presented in the lexicographical sources, are noted.
