ON THE “NATIONAL IDENTITY” OF COMPOSITE NOMINATIONS OF SHIPS IN THE MIDDLE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of description of the Middle English special dictionary in the format of nominations-composites by the examples of terminological system of nominations of types of ships (vessels) in the Middle English language. The author emphasizes the “national” - mainly French trend of structural and semantic execution of nominations against the background of their intensive appearance in the Middle English sea glossary.
