Abstract.
The article is devoted to the problem of description of the Middle English special dictionary in the format of nominations-composites by the examples of terminological system of nominations of types of ships (vessels) in the Middle English language. The author emphasizes the “national” - mainly French trend of structural and semantic execution of nominations against the background of their intensive appearance in the Middle English sea glossary.
