THE PROBLEMS OF TRANSFER OF CULTURE-SPECIFIC VOCABULARY IN THE TRANSLATION FROM ENGLISH INTO RUSSIAN AND FROM RUSSIAN INTO ENGLISH

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the problems of transfer of culture-specific legal vocabulary in translation from English into Russian and from Russian into English. The authors reveal the concept “culture-specific vocabulary”, and consider the ways of translation of culture-specific legal vocabulary by the example of the terminology of legal professions and judicial system. The main ways of transfer of culture-specific vocabulary are loan translation, transliteration, and description, the combination of loan translation and descriptive method is often used, and the choice of the way of translation of culture-specific vocabulary depends on the context.
