Abstract.
The article deals with the peculiarities of the process of lexical adoption at the modern stage of development of the Russian language. The authors state that the currently dominating social and chronological specificity of loanword process assumes its conditionality by the characteristic features of the historical epoch, the originality of the prevailing socio-political system, and the moral values of the social collective of the system, which in turn motivates the specific nature of determination of the stated process.
