Abstract.
The article investigates the process of creating a postmodern mythopoetic picture of the world in T. Tolstaya’s novel-dystopia "The Slynx/Kys". The author owing to her inner spiritual belonging to the Russian folklore creates her own mythology, based on the satirical understanding of the topical problems of the society and grotesque interpretation of mythological plots and images.
