PRAGMATICS OF QUOTATION SPEECH (BY THE MATERIAL OF INTERNET MASS MEDIA)

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of pragmatics of quotation speech by the material of the network news discourse. Quotation speech is widespread in news texts of Internet mass media and diverse in terms of content and function. It is believed that the main task of news items is to inform. The analysis of the practical material shows the significant manipulative potential of the quotation speech, consisting in the possibility of its use for the purpose of evaluation and interpretation of the reality. Pragmatics of the quotation speech consists not only in the transmission of certain factual information, but also of the author's implicit relationship to the reported information.
