Abstract.
The article deals with methodological classification of connotative colored English vocabulary that is developed on the basis of analysis of acquisition difficulties of English vocabulary with connotative coloring. According to this methodical classification, lexical units are divided into three groups considering the level of difficulty of their acquisition. Detailed characteristic of these groups and examples in English are given.
