Abstract.
The article identifies and studies the semantic-evaluative group “emotions, feelings” as one of the components of semantic linguistic means to evaluate economic situation through the lenses of the anthropocentric approach. The paper analyzes the semantic-evaluative group “emotions, feelings”, which represents all the polyphony of subjective content and manifests certain objective specificity. Relying on the analysis the authors single out five sub-groups of the semantic-evaluative group “emotions, feelings”: “sympathy”; “satisfaction”; “mood”, “fear”, “strong passions”. Using the evaluative means of the semantic-evaluative group “emotions, feelings” in the structure of the mentioned five groups to evaluate economic situation endows it with emotional-expressive content that inevitably influences the evaluative valency of the text, i.e. such text will possess striking evaluative expression. The evaluative means of this group are endowed with the capacity to emphasize evaluation. Studying the semantic-evaluative group “emotions, feelings” the authors trace the peculiar manifestations of human activity, actions and behavioural models.
