Abstract.
The article examines linguistic peculiarities of M. M. Zoshchenko’s stories. Satirist writer brought to perfection the style of comic narration. Using linguistic means (phonetic, lexical, morphological, stylistic) helps the author to present a concise portrait of a narrator or hero. Studying the variable forms of speech (colloquial, dialect, etc.) is necessary to discover the full picture of literary language.
