Abstract.
The article examines floronym “rose” in the Russian and Vietnamese languages in the comparative aspect which promotes identifying the similarities and differences in the national plant names. Discovered universal characteristics and national and cultural peculiarities of the nomination “rose” allow more profound and more adequate interpretation of word’s semantics under the context, promote more accurate understanding and interpreting the associative relations of the words in the integrity of a literary text.
