Abstract.
The article examines the implementation of speech aggression by means of self-presentation strategy in the political discourse by the material of the English-language mass media. The tactics of identification, solidarization and opposition, which actualize the strategy of self-presentation and are directed at the creation of the certain image of a political figure and the country headed by him/her, are analyzed. Language means, verbalizing the mentioned tactics, are revealed.
