ON ONE RITUAL CONNECTED WITH CREATION MYTH

Abstract.
The article presents an idea that a myth about the creation of musical art in the Nart legends of the Ossetians is a “splinter” of the early form of the archaic myth having kept until later forms and transformed into a heroic epos. The author thinks that an earlier, archaic mythologeme of “pathway” to the afterworld turned out to be coded in the Nart legends of the Ossetians. Familiarization with sacred values taking part in a ritual connected with the creation myth and forming a single system, which they are subject to, occurs through the high level of the symbolization of the myth-poetic text language.
